Equipment Additions

With the growth in employment and plant size, Crystal Lite has historically been able to back it up with the addition of state of the art equipment. As an example, over the last years we invested $1.0M in new state of the art equipment, including an Amada Laser Cell as well as a seperate stand alone Laser. We also utilize a Bending Robot.

The specific type of Punch/Laser Cell purchased processes full sheets of material that can be punched and/or laser cut in the same operation. It also has the capability to dynamically nest parts (put the same or several different parts on the same sheet) to maximize sheet utilization. Through the capacity of its storage shelf system. It can be programmed to run several jobs successively in a lights out/off-shift mode.

The Bending Robot was also purchased from Amada and and was one of their early machine placements, of their type, in the west. The bending robot offers automation of the metal bending function, and once programmed can be left to run in much the same fashion as the Punch/Laser cell.
