General


In 1998 we added a state-of-the-art automated paint line capable of both powder and liquid paint application. The combination of the paint line itself, our skilled and highly experienced paint team and our commitment to quality enables Crystal Lite to provide painted products with consistent outstanding quality and value.

Our automated paint line was installed by Advanced Finishing Systems at a cost in excess of $500,000. It commenced operation in November of that year. It occupies approximately 7,500 square feet of our 32,000 square foot addition we made in 1998. The line installation was done to increase our paint capability to better service our precision sheetmetal fabrication/integration customers. Currently, the level of painting personnel experience exceeds 10 years.

Washer

Five -stage spray pretreatment washer

    • Stage 1- 90 second wash, heated 140 to 160 degrees
    • Stage 2- 45 second rinse, ambient
    • Stage 3- 75 second Phosphate, water or no wash, heated 140 to 160 degrees
    • Stage 4- 45 second rinse, ambient
    • Stage 5- 45 second final rinse/seal, ambient

Air Make-up

Two industrial air make-up supplies. One 35,000 CFM and the other 13,000 CFM. Both gas fired with 55 to 90 degree air temperature setting.
